Top 10 Green Cars for St. Patrick’s Day

March 17th, 2013 by Armaan Almeida
According to Du Pont’s annual Automotive Color Popularity Report, green is now #9 and rising among the most popular car color choices in America. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we’re skipping the green eggs and ham to instead bring your our top 10 choices for the coolest shades of green you can order on factory-new cars for 2013/2014. Associated with earth-friendliness as well as envy, green cars are still uncommon enough to catch some attention, whether we’re talking a Bentley or a simple Camry.

Click on each highlighted vehicle name for reviews, info on current incentives, lots of pics, complete standard and optional feature lists, and more.

2013 Bentley Continental GTColor: “Apple Green”

The big, bruising, ultra-luxurious Continental GT is sure to gain attention wherever you go in any exterior paint shade, but opt for the in-your-face Apple Green hue and the 567-horsepower grand touring coupe will cause rubbernecking on a daily basis. Build and price yours here.

2013 MINI CoupeColor: “British Racing Green II”

2013 Hyundai Santa FeColor: “Hampton Green Pearl”

The Santa Fe is new for 2013, replacing the outgoing Veracruz in Hyundai’s lineup and seating up to 7 passengers. Making a sportier yet still family-friendly alternative to the typical minivan, the Santa Fe also comes in a more compact 5-passenger variant. Build and price yours here.

2013 Lamborghini GallardoColor: “Verde Ithaca”

The Gallardo is due for replacement next year with an all-new model, but Italian supercars never really age, do they? This exclusive shade of green, Verde Ithaca, is only available on the high-performance LP570-4 Superleggera trim level. Build and price yours here.

2013 Toyota AvalonColor: “Cypress Pearl Metallic”

Think of the Toyota Avalon large premium sedan as a Lexus ES, minus the luxury badge, a few premium features and a few thousand dollars. The 2013 Avalon is wholly re-engineered, now featuring a sportier drive and a big upgrade in interior polish. Build and price yours here.

2013 Porsche Cayenne GTSColor: “Peridot Metallic”

If you want to order your new 2013 Cayenne luxury SUV in this exclusive shade of bright green (Peridot Metallic, as Porsche calls it), you’ll need to opt for the GTS trim level, which fits much of the performance equipment from the Cayenne Turbo to a much less expensive 420-horsepower model. Build and price yours here.

2013 Lincoln MKZ HybridColor: “Ginger Ale”

Calling the Lincoln Motor Company’s Ginger Ale exterior paint shade “green” is a bit of a stretch… “greenish” might be a better fit, but the model it’s applied to certainly earns its green credentials: the totally redesigned MKZ Hybrid is rated at 45 city/45 highway/45 combined mpg by the EPA.
